Big Crowd, Amazing Screening at the Japan-Pacific IBC Theatre at USP in Suva!

We had a truly amazing screening of Fiji Memory, Colonial Time at the beautiful Japan-Pacific IBC Theatre on the University of the South Pacific Laucala Campus in Suva. Thank you so much to USP, the School of Law and Social Sciences, and especially to Sandra Tarte and Nic Halter, who did so much to make this event a success. And thank you to the theatre staff for your hard work, and to Film Fiji for promoting the screening and arranging media coverage. Finally, it was particularly wonderful to have in the audience some of the film subjects and/or their family in attendance. Special shout out to the great representation from the people of Suvavou village!

Fiji Memory, Colonial Time was featured on Pam Uzzel’s wonderful podcast Art Heals All Wounds. Pam is a friend, film school classmate of Alexi’s and amazing filmmaker in her own right. Her podcast features engaging interviews with artists from different disciplines sharing how they creatively engage with the issues we all struggle with. Thank you Pam for giving us this opportunity to discuss the film! We think the interview turned out nicely! Please give it a listen and share it online!
